The rain on Wednesday night did not stop the Miami Marlins from scoring 6 runs against the Atlanta Braves.  The Marlins were able to beat the Braves 6-3, to force a rubber game in the series on Thursday. During Tuesday’s game, the Marlins jumped out to a 2-0 lead, and it was the Braves turn to do so on Wednesday. In the 3rd inning, an Andrelton Simmons single scored B.J. Upton and gave the Braves a 1-0 lead. They added their second run of the ballgame in the 4th inning off Marlins starter, Ricky Nolasco.  Brian McCann hit his 8th career home run against Nolasco, to give the Braves a 2-0 lead. It is a fact that most walks end up hurting you.  A walk to the pitcher really hurt the Braves in the 5th inning.  Mike Minor gave up a two out walk to Nolasco that gave Justin Ruggiano, the Marlins lead off man, a chance to hit in the inning. Ruggiano then homered to left field and put the Marlins up 3-2. The Marlins were able to add insurance runs in both the 6th and 8th innings. In the 6th i...

If Wednesday night was the last start for Ricky Nolasco with the Miami Marlins, it was a great way to go out. Nolasco allowed just two runs in seven innings while striking out seven as Miami snapped an eight-game losing streak to the division rival Atlanta Braves with a 6-3 victory.
