Jason Bay is my favorite player on the Red Sox. I think he's 10 times better than the PED-using Manny Ramirez. J-Bay has proven to be a tough out, a good defender, and a good power hitter. However, Bay's contract is up after this season. Many good free agent outfielders will also be available (Matt Holliday is the marquee name), but J-Bay is so hyped up on his BoSox popularity, that he'll demand tons of money, which may lead the Red Sox front office to pursue Holliday as a cheaper alternative to Bay. Not to mention, Bay has already rejected multiple generous contracts from the Red Sox before he was in his current slump. I love Bay, but I'd love to see Holliday in a Red Sox uniform more. I have a feeling that Bay may turn into a Nate McLouth: A one-year wonder. Holliday has shown that he can put up good numbers for many years. Some of Holliday's numbers might have been boosted by the thin atmosphere at Coors Field, but he's still putting up decent number...
