PHOENIX (AP) -- John McDonald hit a three-homer and Milwaukee's Zack Greinke had his worst outing of the season in the Arizona Diamondbacks' 8-5 victory over the Brewers on Saturday night.
Greinke (5-2), who had allowed one run total in his previous three starts, gave up seven runs and a season-high 10 hits in 2 1-3 innings. Rookie left-hander Wade Miley (6-1), allowed five runs -- three earned -- and eight hits in six innings for the victory.
Arizona won at home for only the third time in 13 games.
Gerardo Parra went 4-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs for the Diamondbacks. His four hits tied a career best. Parra also made a terrific catch running toward the wall in center on Norichika Aoki's deep fly ball in the ninth.
Miley, in his third win in a row, finished with three scoreless innings after a shaky start. He struck out three and walked two. Brad Ziegler and David Hernandez each pitched a hitless inning of relief before J.J. Putz, on his bobblehead night, pitched a perfect ninth for his 10th save in 13 tries -- surviving a pair of deep fly balls,
Cody Ransom, claimed by Milwaukee off waivers from Arizona on Wednesday, doubled in two runs. Aoki tripled and doubled for the Brewers. The Diamondbacks had 15 hits, two apiece by McDonald, Aaron Hill, Justin Upton, Jason Kubel and Miley.
Milwaukee, aided by third baseman Ryan Roberts' throwing error, scored four times in the third to go up 5-2.
Greinke, who was 4-0 in his previous six starts and hadn't lost since his second outing on April 12, never made it through the bottom half.
Upton and Kubel started the inning with their second singles of the night. Paul Goldschmidt walked to load the bases, then Greinke forced in a run with a walk to Robert. Konrad Schmidt's fielder's choice brought in another run. On an 0-2 count, McDonald lined one just over the wall in left field, a three-run shot that made it 7-5.
Miley singled, Parra walked, and that was it for Greinke in his shortest outing since he went two innings in a 12-2 loss at the Yankees last July 28. Greinke walked three and struck out three, allowing 13 baserunners in his brief performance.
Arizona added a run in the seventh when Parra doubled and scored on Hill's two-out single.
Milwaukee scored in the first on Corey Hart's leadoff double and Jonathan Lucroy's two-out RBI single. Arizona responded with two in the bottom half when Parra, Hill, Upton and Kubel singled, all with no outs.
Before the game, the Diamondbacks announced catcher Miguel Montero had signed a 60 million, five-year contract covering 2013-17. Montero missed his fourth game in a row with a groin strain.

Zack Greinke doesn't lose it often. But when he has, the Brewers pitcher has really lost it this season.
In nine starts this season, Greinke has registered a quality start in six of his outings. But on two occasions this season, the ace has crashed and burned on the mound.
Against Chicago on April 12, Greinke lasted just 3-23 innings, allowed eight earned runs and struck out...
Opponents have been making themselves at home at Arizona's Chase Field all season.
The Milwaukee Brewers have been doing that for years, but are encountering some resistance this weekend.
The Diamondbacks try to build on an encouraging win and take a rare series from the Brewers in the desert in Sunday's finale.

MILWAUKEE Another day, another player heading to the disabled list for the Milwaukee Brewers.
The team announced shortly after their 7-1 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday that shortstop Cesar Izturis will be sent to the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. Infielder Edwin Maysonet will return to the Brewers from Triple-A Nashville to take his place.
The Milwaukee Brewers have placed shortstop Cesar Izturis on the 15-day disabled list after he pulled his left hamstring running the bases against Arizona on Friday night.
The Brewers made the move right after the 7-1 victory, recalling shortstop Edwin Maysonette from Triple-A Nashville. Maysonette was optioned to Nashville on Wednesday when Milwaukee claimed Cody Ransom off waivers...
Beyond their ever-growing disabled list, the Milwaukee Brewers are operating with a handful of players who are not 100 percent physically. Third baseman Aramis Ramirez missed his second consecutive game Sunday with a bruised left elbow, the result of being hit by a pitch Friday night. And manager Ron Roenicke revealed that first baseman Travis Ishikawa was unavailable due to an...
Catcher Miguel Montero has agreed to a five-year, $60 million contract extension with the Arizona Diamondbacks, major-league sources told FOXSports.com.
The deal is expected to be announced at a Saturday news conference, the sources said.
Montero, 28, earned his first All-Star selection last year. He's off to a slow start offensively -- .693 OPS in 38 games -- but is a rare...
Just a moment after J.J. Putz 3-2 strike glided across the plate, giving the Brewers their fourth-straight series loss and dropping to nine games below .500, Carlos Gomez slammed his bat to the ground.
The frustration had been building for the Brewers the seemingly endless string of injuries, the one-inning blunders, the defensive lapses. And on Sunday afternoon, it was hard not...

The award-winning handlebar mustache that formerly graced the upper lip of Milwaukee Brewers closer John Axford is apparently no more.
After tweeting a picture of his former facial hair laid out in its original arrangement, with the title "RIP", it appears an era of facial decoration has come to an abrupt close.
The mustachioed Axford was named the Robert Goulet Memorial...
PHOENIX (AP) -- Ryan Braun, Rickie Weeks and Corey Hart homered and Yovani Gallardo maintained his mastery of Arizona on Friday night in the Milwaukee Brewers' 7-1 victory over the Diamondbacks.
