Feliciano was a fan favorite among Mets fans for several years, pitching from 2002-2010 with the club before signing a lucrative 2-year deal with the Yankees.
While a member of the Yanks, Feliciano continued endearing himself to Mets fans as he cashed huge paychecks while never throwing a pitch in a major league game for the Bronx Bombers.
The only way the story could play out any further is if Every Day Pedro returns to form while rejoining his former club this season in Queens.

Yankees paid Feliciano $8 million for zero major-league appearances in two years. Now he returns to Mets on minor-league deal.

Feliciano was a workhorse for the Mets throughout his tenure with the team and a source of reliable innings before shoulder injuries derailed his career.

It’s hard to guess what Perennial Pedro has left in the tank, but he pitched well in Winter League ball and is the type of low-risk / low-cost reliever the Mets were looking for to help round out their bullpen.

After missing the last 2 years, Feliciano had a 1.23 ERA in 7 relief games in Puerto Rican Winter League this season.

MMO Featured Post: Why You Should Watch The Mets This Season
With less than thirty days before pitchers and catchers report to Port St. Lucie for Spring Training there is little excitement for the upcoming season. Bad baseball may be better than no baseball, but 2013 appears to be another year of tempered expectations for most Mets fans. As a result, ticket sales and television ratings will likely take yet another hit, but should they...
Feliciano back to Mets
After collecting $8 million over two years from the Yankees without ever throwing a pitch, lefty-reliever Pedro Feliciano is heading back to the crosstown rival Mets.
Feliciano, 36, inked a minor league deal to return to Queens and the only team he’s ever played for. After becoming a free agent at season’s end, the Yankees never offered him a contract.
Feliciano came over to...
What Spring Training Battles Will We See In Mets Camp?
Pitchers and Catchers report in 22 days. Only three more weeks until until all of our players proclaim they are in the best shapes of their life. What do you think will be some of the more interesting battles in Mets camp this spring?
XtreemIcon – If the current roster goes to Spring Training, I’d say the 5th starter job, though the Mets keep saying they’ll bring someone in...

New York Mets — Predicted Finish: Fourth Place, NL East
Meet the Mets! Meet the Mets! Step right up and greet the Mets.
The New York Mets aren’t much to look at this year,. Their roster is full of mediocre players with one legit star trapped in the middle of this lackluster lineup (some alliteration...
How Much Money Will Mets Make For The All Star Game?
I always wanted to know exactly what if any revenue the Mets would rake in because of the All Star Game. It looks like I got my answer today. While the event will rake in revenue of a hundred million dollars or more in sponsorships, advertising and merchandising, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com says this:
How much of the revenue that the Mets will get from hosting the All-Star Game will...
In a weekend dominated by playoff football, Mets avoid arbitration with Ike Davis
It’s another weekend where most sports fans will have their eyes on the NFL Conference Championship games, but for the Mets faithful, besides enjoying some Free NFL Playoff Picks, there was good news regarding first basemen Ike Davis (who was also apparently enjoying the NFL playoffs).

How The Mets Built Their First Championship Team – Part 1
Turn Back The Clock 45 Years – It’s the Spring of 1968.
Spring training of 1968 saw the Mets coming off another last place finish but with a few glimmers of hope for the future. There was a new manager in Gil Hodges and a new center fielder in former A.L. Rookie of The Year Tommie Agee who came to the Mets in a deal for their best hitter, Tommy Davis.
Tom Seaver had a brilliant...
Why aren't the Mets grabbing some of these MiLB
I've said all along I don't expect the Mets to be involved in the big name free agents like Michael Bourn and I don't really blame them for that, Bourn at this point a move like that really makes very little sense. The Mets are rebuilding, spending on a big piece really isn't making them a contender this year and wont be around long enough to be part of the winning...
Player Profile #137: Derek Jeter | SS | NYY
Don’t believe in Derek Jeter‘s power resurgence! Jeter’s 15 homers last year were his most since 2009 (18), and he’s only hit 15+ in a season twice in the last seven years. His 16.1% HR/FB rate was his highest since reach 17.1% back in 2005, and in four of the last five years his HR/FB rate has been under 10.0%.
But while Jeter is probably more of a 7-10 homer guy, that doesn’t...

Mets Could Be In On Michael Bourn If Price Comes Down
Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe says this morning that “the Mets are not out of the picture if the price and length of commitment come down” on free agent outfielder Michael Bourn.
As you can read below, I don’t see Bourn and the Mets as a match for the reasons I specified, chief among them being that it would cost the Mets their first round pick.
