Newsday is reporting that the Mets are still interested in free agent catcher Ivan Rodriguez. The Mets are worried about current backup Ramon Castro's durability, and believe Rodriguez would better compliment the lefty Brian Schneider. Rodriguez is a great leader and would definitely have an impact on some of the Mets' young pitchers. Last season, Rodriguez hit .276 with 7 HR in 115 games for the Yankees and Tigers.?
