Dom D's Mets Fan Blog:
The Mets completed their coaching overhaul on Friday, when they named Luis Alicea, a big league second baseman for more than a decade, as their new first-base coach.
Alicea, 43, most recently coached first base for the Red Sox, holding that position during their 2007 World Series championship season. Prior to that, Alicea managed in Boston's Minor League system for three years, and played 13 seasons for the Cardinals, Red Sox, Angels, Rangers and Royals.
