Found March 10, 2009 on Eli's MLB Rumors:
The Mets have released relief pitcher Duaner Sanchez, according to David Lennon of Newsday. By releasing Sanchez, the Mets only have to pay him 281,000 dollars. Sanchez put up decent numbers last year for the Mets, posting a 4.32 ERA in 58.1 innings pitched. Sanchez's work ethic may have factored into his release, as well as a drop in his fastball. Now Brewers bench coach, Willie Randolph once sent Sanchez home for laziness.?
Sanchez will likely get a look from another team, perhaps the Nationals, but he might need to throw to teams before receiving an offer.
