In case you were nervous that the signing of Omar Quintanilla, who hit .047 last season, would keep the New York Mets from pursuing Jack Wilson, or other back up shortstops, worry no more!  That was a sarcastic explanation point as I doubt any of you were biting your nails.  If you were, however, the good news is that a team source has indicated to Andy Martino of the Daily News...

Scott Hairston to re-sign with the Mets

Photo by Michael BaronAccording to Joel Sherman the Mets have re-signed Scott Hairston, it's not specified by Sherman at this time but there are reports that it's a minor league deal. Just like last year Hairston is a solid pick-up, he can play all three outfield positions and hit off the bench for power. His first season with the Mets wasn't great but compared to what...

The big three pitching prospects that we have looming down in the minors gives me an eerily familiar feeling. Haven’t we heard this before?  Does “Generation K” and the names of Jason Isringhausen, Bill Pulsipher and Paul Wilson ring a bell?  This was supposed to be our home grown trio of Superstars in the 90′s. These were the guys who were supposed...

OH FREDDIE SKILL SETS, THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE

When it comes to the Skill Sets financial situation it seems we Mets fans are better off ignoring what they say and instead focus on what they do. From the outstanding reporting of Eno Sarris of Amazin’ Avenue,  we discovered that the Skill Sets have hired  CRG Partners , a firm that works with businesses swimming in red ink and tries to either help them turnaround their business...
