Jon Heyman is reporting that the Mets are one of six teams interested in trading for Huston Street. I just don't know how such a trade would work out, considering Street's public feud with Bench coach Bob Geren. Sure he doesn't have a say in a trade but how effective would he be in such a situation. Besides it didn't sound like the Mets were very keen on what the Rockies wanted ( Mike Pelfrey). Matt Eddy of Baseball America is reporting that the Mets have signed Adam Loewen to a minor league deal. Loewen was the #4 pick of the 2002 draft for the Baltimore Orioles and became their top pitching prospect. Well scratch Joe Nathan off my wish list for Mets closer. Nathan has signed a two year $14.5 mil deal with the Texas Rangers who will now move Netfli Perez back to the starting rotation.
