The New York Mets have signed Raul Chavez to a Minor League deal with invitation to the Major League Spring Training according to Adam Rubin of ESPN.

Chavez, 37, played in the Majors for the last time in 2009 with the Toronto Blue Jays. That year he hit for .258 with 2 HR's and 15 RBI's.
