Midday: Mets, K-Rod reach 3-year, $37M agreement

Teg Berg of SNY is reporting that the Mets and Francisco Rodriguez have come to terms on a deal that could also include a fourth-year vesting option based on appearances. Agreed upon in principle last night, the deal is pending a physical. The 26-year-old closer set the single-season record with 62 saves for the Angels in 2008.
