With all his teammates taking on the Orioles in Baltimore, Mike Napoli is about 400 miles northeast, back at home in Boston. Unfortunately, it’s not just some scheduled time off for the first baseman.
Napoli had to be removed during the third inning of Thursday’s contest against the Rays, complaining of dizziness and nausea. He hasn’t been right since then, so the Red Sox sent Napoli back to Boston to get a proper diagnosis, and hopefully have him back on the field sooner rather than later.
Check out everything Sox manager John Farrell had to say about Napoli’s situation — including his firm denial that anything appears to be concussion-related — in the video above.
