Yes, I absolutely appreciate everything that Mike Timlin has done for the Boston Red Sox. He has been an anchor in the bullpen for years, helping the team win two World Series in addition to making the playoffs two other times. The young guys in the bullpen wouldn't be what they are without the tutelage of Timlin. If he's not the captain of the 'pen pirates,' then he's the first mate at the very least. Unfortunately his performance has slipped as of late. He has been on the DL countless times and it seems like his healthier days are long gone. If there is an inherited runner on base, chances are that Timlin will let him score. No lead is safe with him on the mound either. I can quote stats until the sun does down but I think last night was a much better indicator as to how the Mike Timlin story will probably end: badly and in heartbreaking fashion. Thanks for the (good) memories Mike.

  • I agree... we had a good run with him, but now it's time for him to fade into the sunset.
  • It's sad but true :\
