Trout's .337 Batting Average is only second to Chicago White Sox slugger Paul Konerko (.357) for the league lead. In 190 ABs, the twenty year old has accounted for 64 hits, including his 6 home runs, and is leading rookies in Stolen Bases (19), Batting Avg. (.337), Slugging % (.532), On Base % (.397), and On Base Plus Slugging [OPS] (.929). While he looks to be making an easy run towards a Rookie of the Year title in the American League, many people also predict that Trout may be included in the All Star Game in Kansas City on July 10th. Considering the statistics that are listed above, it almost seems obvious that Trout would be selected to play in one of Major League Baseball's biggest nights.
