Texas Rangers’ third basemen Adrian Beltre hit for the cycle as he helped defeat the Minnesota Twins in shut out fashion 8-0 in Arlington last night.  This was the the eighth time this year that the Twins’ offense was held to zero runs, but only the first time since the All Star break. Matt Harrison (15-7) had a no-hit bid with two outs in the seventh until Trevor Plouffe broke it up on a 2-1 changeup that he roped to left field.  Harrison pitched eight innings, allowing only two hits and two walks.  The Twins’ offense was completely stymied by Harrison as this offense continues to struggle. The Rangers’ offense was quite the opposite off of Samuel Deduno (4-2) as Deduno lost his second straight start.  Deduno pitched only five innings and allowed a season high 11 hits and seven earned runs.  Deduno had zero strike outs and more surprisingly, had only one walk.  Unfortunately, it seems that he had too much control in the strike zone and these hot Rangers’ hitters took full advantage...
