From all throughout the Phillies’ developmental ranks, here’s our weekly rundown of top performers and those players that have struggled recently.

Third baseman Cody Asche had four multi-hit games over a five-game stretch last week, including a 5-for-5 effort against Pawtucket on Wednesday. The 23-year-old International League All-Star is batting .288 with 10 homers and 56 RBI in 93 games this season. Asche was the Phils’ 4th round draft choice in 2011.
The IronPigs’ other All-Star, second baseman Cesar Hernandez, is batting .333 with three doubles, a triple and five RBI in 13 contests this month. Due to the Phillies’ void in center field, as Ben Revere suffered a broken foot over the weekend, Hernandez will not participate in the IL All-Star events, instead, he’s been assigned to Double-A Reading to get extra work in the outfield in case the Phils choose to call him up for the second half. Hernandez has ...
BEST OF MAXIM
John Mayberry Jr. singled with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the tenth after Jonathan Papelbon‘s blew his fifth save to grab a 4-3 victory for the Phillies. The win puts the Phillies at 48-48 entering the All-Star break and, coupled with today’s Braves loss, puts them just 6.5 games behind the Atlanta Braves in the NL East race. The 48-48 mark is 6.5 game better...
Roy Halladay apparanetly feels as good as he did 10 years ago as he works his comeback trail and ponders future with Phillies according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.
When Roy Halladay announced he’d be having surgery on his right shoulder, he said his doctor’s hope was that the procedure could help Halladay “turn back the clock.”
And according to Roy's wife, all is...
One of the strengths of the 2013 Philadelphia Phillies was supposed to be the quality starting pitching. With Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels at the front of the rotation, that much should go without saying. Kyle Kendrick and free-agent pick-up John Lannan provided the Phillies with a decent enough back-end of the rotation as well. Of course, two starting pitchers would land...
The Philadelphia Phillies gained one player but lost another as they activated catcher Erik Kratz from the 15-day disabled list while placing outfielder Ben Revere on it with a right foot fracture.
Kratz looks to be the third catcher as Carlos Ruiz is a bit banged up where as Revere does not have a timetable set for his return, but a minimum of a month is the early prognosis.
The Phillies have placed outfielder Ben Revere on the 15-day disabled list, one day after he broke his right foot by fouling a ball off of it, and activated catcher Erik Kratz from the DL.
Philadelphia general manager Ruben Amaro said Sunday that Revere will have further tests on Monday to determine the extent of his injury.
Revere was injured Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader...
Phillies center fielder Ben Revere has undergone surgery to repair his right foot, which he broke in the first game of the double header on Saturday against the Chicago White Sox. Revere's surgery involved getting two screws placed in his foot according to Todd Zolecki:
Ben Revere's surgery complete. Dr. Steve Raikin placed 2 screws across the fracture. Tentative...
When the Philadelphia Phillies announced Ben Revere's broken right ankle, the center fielder told reporters that he could miss six to eight weeks as a result of the injury. He was spot on regarding the diagnosis, as the Phillies announced the same timeframe today, adding Revere will undergo surgery on his ailing ankle tomorrow, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.
Any way you slice it, the Philadelphia Phillies' chances of making a remarkable comeback took a hit last week when center fielder Ben Revere fouled a ball off of his foot, resulting in a break that would require surgery to repair and place him on the shelf for the next...
John Mayberry Jr. sent the Philadelphia Phillies in the right direction going into the All-Star break.
Mayberry hit an RBI single with two outs in the 10th inning, lifting Philadelphia over the Chicago White Sox 4-3 on Sunday.
The Phillies have won nine of 13 and stand 6 1/2 games behind NL East-leading Atlanta.
''It's definitely exciting to pull that one out,'...

After the All-Star festivities end tonight, Cliff Lee, Domonic Brown and the rest of the Phils have plenty of work to do. (AP Photo)
As I opined last week, gauging where you stand on the Phillies can hinge on what day you check in on this ambivalent bunch. Nowhere is it more visible than within the Philadelphia media, where readers are bombarded with recurring “buy” and “sell”...
Tonight the New York Mets will host their first All-Star Game since 1964 in Shea Stadium. That game has a rather special Phillies moment of course, which leaves me wondering if Domonic Brown or Cliff Lee might play a part in another bankable moment in franchise history. It's hard for me to believe the Mets have only hosted the All Star Game once before this season, while the...
The Phillies gave away Game 1. They can quickly amend for it in Game 2. A stretch of excellent games in order for the Phillies against the Braves and Nationals didn't carry over to Saturday's opener. Now the Phillies (46-48) return to the field to once again face the White...
This one is all about the Home Run, mostly because MLB’s Home Run Derby is upon us, but also because “Chicks dig the long ball!”
What is the most memorable Home Run that you got to see in person? What you say is the most memorable Phillies HR ever? Is there a non-Phillies HR that helped get you hooked on baseball growing up?
Don McGettigan: I was lucky...
Last night in Philadelphia, the Phillies lost one of the bigger reasons why they have gotten back into the periphery of the NL East race, when CF Ben Revere suffered bad luck and a 6 to 8 week injury. On top of Ryan Howard and Roy Halladay going down, Chase Utley suddenly losing defensive reliability, Carlos Ruiz hitting like last year was Nothing But Drugs, Jimmy Rollins not going...
