A similar play happened earlier this year when Kevin Youklis hit a ball that Johnny Damon nearly caught. In that game, the ball spun on top of the wall before dropping down. Now last night, the newest Boston Red Sox Jason Bay hit a shot that the Royals Mitch Maier almost caught. Instead it rolled along the top of the wall before Russ Gload grabbed it and threw it in.
