Colin is quite the prodigy. Coming from a baseball rich family and even a richer baseball university, Colin was taken by the Miami Marlins with the sixth overall pick. Colin is the nephew of another first round pick, B.J. Surhoff who was drafted in 85, and is the brother of a former 7th round pick tarheel Brian Surhoff.
The third baseman was a former ACC Player of the Year as he collected 86 RBI`S earned a .478 obp, which is 23rd nationally, and sported a .351/.478/.560 batting line. He batted third in the tarheel lineup and is expected to be a number two hitter in the majors. The biggest concern is Colin`s power.
