The Chicago Cubs and Trever Miller have agreed to a minor league contract with an invitation to Spring Training. The 38 year old left handed specialist has been one of the top LOOGY guys in baseball. Since he turned 30 he has pitched in 589 games and posted a 3.74 ERA. If he makes the team, it would be Miller’s ninth. After struggling with control problems in 2011, the 38 year old will have to compete for a roster spot. The lefty pitched for the Cardinals, Blue Jays, and Red Sox last season walking 12 batters in 21 1/3 innings. Get all of your MLB news, rumors, and discussion at MTRbaseball.com.
