Sheridan:
I came up with what I thought was a clever idea to watch each of the three major league baseball playoff games on Wednesday and blog about them. Get some food, make sure I had some beverages in the house, and take some notes on the action. I should have known how obsessed I would become, because I started taking notes on every at bat. What I thought would be a relaxing way to spend a day, became a test of my endurance, and my passion for baseball.
I started watching Game 1 of the Brewers versus the Phillies in the National League Division Series at 3:50 pm on Wednesday. I concluded my baseball triple-header well past 1:30 am on Thursday, with the conclusion of the Red Sox 4-1 victory over the Angels in their American League Division Series. I knew it was mandatory that I loaded up on some fuel or what normal people might refer to as Coca-Cola. However, I did not expect my eyes to become bleary or my right hand to ache after keeping score and taking notes for over eight hours. I love baseball, but even I'm not sure it was all worth it.
