More AL Central Spin: Orlando Cabrera to the Twins

Shortly after 1:00 pm ET, Yahoo!'s Tim Brown jumped into the Big League Stew live chat with this: "twins get cabrera for ladendorf"MLB.com also reports that Orlando Cabrera is headed to Minnesota. He figures to bat second for the Twins, just ahead of Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau. Cabrera has been ridiculously hot since the All-Star break (.381/.426/.476), yet he's only owned in 43 percent of Yahoo! PLUS leagues. This move clearly helps him. He leaves a poor hitting environment and heads to a much more productive lineup. Mixed league fantasy owners should continue to not own Nick Punto or Brendan Harris, but don't ignore O-Cab. Tyler Ladendorf is a 21-year-old shortstop who's put together a .322/.403/.496 line at Single-A. He's not on the fantasy radar, nor does he rank among the top prospects in the Twins system, though he was a second-round draft pick in '08.
