Via It's Always Sunny In Detroit:

22,834 (roughly) people saw the Orioles beat the Angels 3-2 in Camden Yards Tuesday night. You have to think that 22,600 were Orioles fans.  In the bottom of the third inning, O’s shortstop J.J. Hardy hit a foul pop-up down the left field line.

Mike Trout had a beat on it as he made it to the wall.  He couldn’t make the play because a fan WEARING A MIKE TROUT JERSEY interfered on the play and made the grab instead. He’s one of the 200-some Angels fans in attendance and this guy botches a play for his team.

Atta boy, Bartman.

4 Comments:
  • Trout had a 'bead' on it not a 'beat'.
  • Ironic? Yes. Relative to the eventual outcome of the game? No. The out was awarded to the Angels.
  • That article saying he had a "beat" on it looks to be written by someone from Detroit. With the way the school system is now its surprising there weren't more words misspelled. The original story was from itsalwayssunnyindetroit.

The Baltimore Orioles managed to get something positive out of their weekend series against the Tampa Bay Rays, winning the third game 10-7 after losing the previous two games. Why I Still Watch the Games

By David Saltzer, AngelsWin.com Senior Writer -  Chuck Richter started a thread on www.AngelsWin.com about why he’s still watching Angels games this year.
