There's nothing more embarrassing nor humbling in baseball than whiffing on a fastball, right? Wrong. This guy found out the hard way after he too whiffed on an attempt to hook up with his target on Friday night during the Royals-Rangers game in Kansas City.
As you can see, the lovestruck Romeo tried in vain to land a kiss on the lovely brunette and came up completely empty -- just like the seats in Kauffman Stadium this season. Perhaps the best part of it all isn't the fact that the announcers actually spent part of the broadcast analyzing the situation, but rather the reaction by the fella after getting denied. The look is priceless.
Hats off to the young man for trying, though. You can't score if you don't shoot, or maybe a better analogy in this situation would be that you can't hit a homer unless you swing. At least he tried.
