Marlins' Major Offseason Signing Underperforming

The Miami Marlins took a big swing this offseason, signing closer Pete Fairbanks to a one-year, $13 million contract. The former Tampa Bay Rays closer was coming off a stellar 2025 campaign in which he posted a 2.83 ERA across a career-high 60.1 innings and 61 appearances.
