Seager saves run

Mariners third basemen Kyle Seager goes to his knees in another defensive gem for you this week.

The Mariners tried their hardest to get the sweep in front of their home fans against the division leading Texas Rangers, but just came up a bit short.

It’s all good though, as each win we accumulate is just gravy, knowing that we are indeed getting better as a franchise.

The win total is up to 72 now as we enter the final week of the season. No chance of catching that illustrious .500 record, but 5 more wins than last year is huge in my eyes.

We may still be a few more years out of contention, but this weeks play of the week shoes that Jack Z does in fact have us going in the right direction.

Youngsters like Seager, Dustin Ackley, and Trayvon Robinson can flash the glove, and swing the bat for a bit of power. Two things that will be key when directing this team back into a winning tradition here in Seattle.
