Buster Olney says A-Rod is tarnished forever and Howard Bryant says steroids have brought down the future king. Yes, A-Rod failed a drug test. Yes, he absolutely has some explaining to do. And yes, he is now the face of steroids. But seriously folks, we need to give Alex Rodriguez a chance.
For starters, Alex failed the drug test back in 2003. It was an anonymous test and the results should have never come out. Players were promised that the results were to be kept confidential and it was only to see if there was a drug problem in baseball. Now I am part of the crowd that wants to know the results of all the tests and I want to know if what I am watching on the field is real, but in this case, 104 players failed the test, and only Alex Rodriguez has been named.
