Houston Astros pitcher Brett Myers has been rumored to be traded for quite some time now.
On Saturday, he was traded from the Houston Astros, who are in a youth movement, to the Chicago White Sox. In return, the Astros received pitchers Matt Heidenreich and Blair Walters, plus a player to be named later.
Myers has 19 saves in 21 opportunities, but is 0-4 with a 3.52 ERA in 30.2 innings this season. He is expected to work out of the bullpen as well with the White Sox after being a starter to start his career.
Heidenreich is 9-4 with a 3.95 ERA in 18 starts with the Winston-Salem Dash and the Birmingham Barons. Walters is 4-6 with a 3.96 ERA in 18 starts with Kannapolis Intimidators and the Winston-Salem Dash.
