This time the seventh inning comeback belonged to the Red Sox. And this time the team rallying from behind never looked back once it got ahead. A night after the New York Yankees scored six times in the seventh to erase a five-run deficit only to lose in extra innings the Red Sox erased a five-run lead with five runs and tacked on four more to stun the Yankees 12-8. Mike Napoli's grand slam -- his third of the season and second against the Yankees this year -- capped the five-run seventh and Shane Victorino's two-run homer in the eight keyed the eighth inning assault. Napoli has three grand slams this season. Only Babe Ruth who had four in 1919 had more in a single season in franchise history. Seven of the nine position players in the Red Sox' starting lineup knocked in at least one run. The Red Sox have won four in a row and have scored 41 runs in their last three games alone. Felix Doubront had another poor start failing to get past the fourth inning for the fourth time in the last six starts as the Yankees raced to a 6-2 lead. It grew to 8-3 off reliever Rubby De La Rosa before the Sox began to claw back. The Yankees were without the services of their two best relievers - Dave Robertson and Mariano Rivera -- and that proved to be costly. Phil Hughes Boone Logan Preston Claiborne and Joba Chamberlain all were boxed around in the seventh and eighth when the Sox combined for nine runs.
