Found June 21, 2013 on MLB Injury News:
Wilson Ramos' hamstring injury has healed to the point that he should be ready to start playing again soon.  The Washington Nationals catcher suffered the hamstring injury back in April.  He came off the DL just to injure the hamstring again.  Then, during his rehab assignment, Ramos suffered a setback that has pushed him all the way to now before he is ready to begin rehab games. According to Dan Kolko of MASN, Davey Johnson, manager of the Nationals, expects Ramos to begin a rehab assignment within the next 10 days. Wilson Ramos had another MRI on his hamstring recently. All looked good. Davey says he should be back playing rehab games within 10 days — Dan Kolko (@masnKolko) June 20, 2013 Ramos is a key part of the Nationals' offense, and they haven't had him for just about the entire season. In fact, Ramos has only played 14 games this year.  That comes one year after a blown out knee cost Ramos all but 25 games of the 2012 season.  Ramos isn't the only Nationals player battling injuries this year.  Most of the team has been on the DL at one point or another.  However, Ramos' return will open up greater flexibility in the roster. Blogging for Susie Ramos is a career .267/.331/.432 hitter.  He has proven himself as a great handler of the pitching staff - especially Stephen Strasburg.  Unfortunately, the staff has not been able to work with him much this year.  When he returns, it might signal a stabilization of this underperforming Nationals club. File this story under “When baseball players make references to cannibalism.” Just a thought: you may have to type up a label for that file. Can the Washington Nationals Rebound?

Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals. (Photo credit) On Opening Day, it was difficult to imagine the Washington Nationals having anything other than a smooth ride through the regular season. Coming off their first playoff appearance since 1981, when they were still the Montreal Expos, (albeit with a heart-wrenching collapse in the NLDS), the Nats merely tinkered with their dynamic...
