Don’t look now, but the Red Sox are in first place. Actually, go look. We’ll wait. It’s been a couple of years since the Sox started off the season atop the standings, so 2013 represents a welcome change for the franchise. With some new faces joining the fun, the team has gotten off to a hot start, and they return to Fenway Park riding a wade of optimism after a 13-0 shellacking of the Toronto Blue Jays. NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is excited to see the team in action at home for the first time not only because they’re playing well, but also because guys like Mike Napoli and Jonny Gomes will finally get a chance to do some damage at Fenway as members of the home team for once.
