Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News says right-handed pitcher Chad Gaudin re-signed with the New York Yankees. Gaudin will be used in long relief out of the bullpen.
Gaudin was released by the Oakland A’s last week. In 12 relief appearances with the A’s, Gaudin posted the American League’s highest ERA among relievers (8.83).
Gaudin was with the Yankees throughout Spring Training, but was released by the team on March 25.
Gaudin appeared in 31 games last year for the Yankees and Padres compiling a 4.64 ERA. Gaudin had struggled in spring training appearing in 4 games for the Yankees and allowing 10 runs. You can see Gaudin’s statistics here.
