NL East Notes: January 25th

We continue our look through the divisions with a trip through the National League East and what they have done for the past week. Wednesdays will now be the day dedicated to the East coast teams. Tomorrow we will bring in the Central division teams from both leagues. Finally, the west coast teams will come on Friday. Atlanta Braves Frank Wren hasn’t exactly set the world on fire this winter with his moves. As best we can count, there has been only one major move and it was the very first transaction of the offseason. Still, let’s not be too critical of Wren. He has enough young pitchers coming up to field two pitching staffs. If that seems like an exaggeration consider that letting Derek Lowe go freed up only one slot for three or four arms that would immediately make any other team’s rotation.
