The 33-39 Cardinals look like a shell of that team that went on to win the World Series. Losing 2/5 of their rotation to free agency in the offseason, and with ace Chris Carpenter sidelined for a majority of the season, the Cardinals have failed to get it going. Though the Cardinals have a sub-.500 record, the Mets know they're no push-over.
