Michael Young just laced a one-out double in the seventh to snap Jon Lester's bid for a perfect game. He just walked the next batter, Andruw Jones. Lester retired the first 19.
Kris Benson offered minimal relief in the sixth, allowing four runs. The first came on a home run by David Ortiz, just his second of the year. Granted, it was a pretty cheap shot, off the bottom of Pesky Pole in right field a mighty 302 feet away, but it counts.
