Ho-hum, another weak Angels offensive night (got power?) and another weak Ervin Santana outing (sigh), but I was hoping for better from Rich Thompson, who gave up a pair of jacks for four runs, all earned; both of Thompson's outs were on strikeouts, but he also walked Evan Longoria and Ben Zobrist. Ash is probably upset about this outing, but rest assured, nobody's thinking its the end of his career around here. Heck, he fits right in ... The most interesting play of the night was a sac fly double play in the bottom of the third that caught Carl Crawford trying to advance to third after driving home Reid Brignac. But it's just more of the same from the Angels, who look more and more like a fading team whose best success is behind them. Yahoo box • Angels recap
