Today starts Major League Baseball’s 2011 postseason, but people are still buzzing about the recent turn of baseball events that took place on Wednesday night. Most folks claimed Wednesday night was the best moment in baseball’s history. It’s hard to argue that claim. It was the sudden change of events at 11 o’clock in the evening that got people to feel that way. The Yankees were having their way with the Rays for most of the game Wednesday night, which they led 7-0 at one point. It was a game the Rays needed to win to make the playoffs or be in a position to play in the play-in game.  Everyone thought that was over for the Cinderella team with what was going on earlier in the game at Tropicana Field. Then, things changed. The Rays scored six runs in the eighth inning to make it a 7-6 game, which featured Evan Longoria’s three-run blast that made it a one run game after scoring several runs on hit-by-pitch, walk and B.J.
