Odds & Ends: Red Sox, Lo Duca, Treanor

Tuesday night linkage.. John Dewan's Stat of the Week suggests that the Red Sox will be the most improved defensive team in baseball this season.  The Mariners are projected to save the most runs in baseball with 103, eclipsing the Phillies' projected 49 runs saved. Paul Lo Duca is willing to accept a minor league assignment from the Rockies, writes Thomas Harding of MLB.com.  Lo Duca has attracted interest from teams looking for catching help this spring, including the Mariners. The Rangers don't expect newly acquired catcher Matt Treanor to exercise his out clause, writes Richard Durrett of ESPN.com.  Treanor has until March 30th to press the eject button.
