Odds & Ends: Suzuki, Red Sox, Lo Duca, Treanor

MLB.com's Jane Lee writes that with a number of contracts coming of the books next offseason, the A's will likely sign Kurt Suzuki to a long-term deal.  Lee believes that GM Billy Beane will look to keep him through 2013, which would cover his arbitration years and give Max Stassi time to get ready for the big show. John Dewan's Stat of the Week suggests that the Red Sox will be the most improved defensive team in baseball this season.  The Mariners are projected to save the most runs in baseball with 103, eclipsing the Phillies' projected 49 runs saved. Paul Lo Duca is willing to accept a minor league assignment from the Rockies, writes Thomas Harding of MLB.com.  Lo Duca has attracted interest from teams looking for catching help this spring, including the Mariners.
