It has been reported that the Cleveland Indians are looking to unload Mark DeRosa and his $5.5 million salary. They're looking for an MLB ready pitcher in return. Today, Buster Olney writes that the Yankees are at considering making a run a the versatile DeRosa:Imagine Mark DeRosa as a big hunk of tuna, bait on a hook. One of the looming shadows circling below is that of the New York Yankees, who are weighing options and haven't decided whether to take a shot at the versatile veteran. So far this year with The Tribe he's hitting .266/.333/.446 with 8 HR and 32 RBI, and has turned things on after a slow April. This month he's hitting .295/.352/.453 with 3 HR and 14 RBI. The is a very valuable player to have, he's good offensively, and he can pretty much play every position on the field besides catcher. If it doesn't cost too much they should go for it.
