Kevin Millwood allowed five runs in five innings, and three Baltimore pitchers combined to face the minimum over the final six innings the Orioles rallied to a 5-4 victory. Millwood said that he "just pitched bad," and few will argue. He was staked to a 3-0 lead but allowed runs in four of the five innings he pitched.
Melvin Mora was 3-for-3 against Millwood with a solo homer in the second. He tied the game with an infield single in the third and gave Baltimore the lead with a single in the fifth.
