BALTIMORE -- Adam Jones hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the Baltimore Orioles a 6-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday. Chris Davis started the game-winning rally with a leadoff walk in the 12th against B.J. Rosenberg (0-1), who was making his major league debut. Jones then launched a blast to left-center on a 0-1 pitch and gave the Orioles their eighth consecutive win in extra innings. Homers had been the key for the Phillies earlier. The Orioles recalled Tommy Hunter before the game to make the start, but the right-hander again had problems giving up homers. He allowed three home runs in his seven-inning effort. He allowed four homers in a game once earlier this season and has given up 16 homers in 65 innings this year. Jimmy Rollins gave the Phillies (29-32) a 1-0 lead with a one-out homer off Hunter in the fourth. The Orioles (33-26) tied it on a Davis RBI ground-out in the bottom of that inning. Jim Thome hit his fi...

Pitchers With More Than 10 Starts And No Wins

Philadelphia Phillies’ LHP Cliff Lee is a pretty darn good pitcher. His reputation and production speaks for itself. However, 2012 has been a pretty unlucky year for Lee. Lee’s peripherals have been pretty much on point. He has 74 K’s in 70.2 innings, a 52.3 percent Ground Ball Percenage, and a 2.65 xFIP. When it comes to wins however, Lee has had no luck at all. Lee pitched...

Some assorted thoughts: The Record: The O's are now on pace to win 91 games instead of 100, which is still fine. They've been outscored on the season 246-250, but they'...
