The San Diego Padres have acquired outfielder Carlos Quentin from the Chicago White Sox in the trade Friday night.The Padres sent two prospects to the Whites Sox for the all-star fielder, who hit .254 BA with 24 home runs last season. Quentin also recorded a career-high 31 doubles and 77 RBIs, making his second All-Star team.Quentin gives some pop to San Diego’s struggling lineup. He has hit 20 or more home runs in four straight seasons, including 38 home runs in 2008.Chicago received minor league pitchers Simon Castro and Pedro Hernandez.
