Bleacher Report:
The San Diego Padres (47-66) are playing some of their best baseball of the season, and look to continue that trend tonight in Milwaukee, taking on the Brewers (55-56).
The Padres, winners of three of their last four games, are faster and more powerful than they were three months ago. SS Everth Cabrera leads the way with speed on the base paths, and a flashy glove at short.
New Padres pitcher Clayton Richard (5-3 4.49) faces the Brewers Braden Looper (10-5 4.84) in the series opener, tonight at 5:05 pm, Pacific Coast time.
Richard takes a lifetime record of 0-0 versus the Brew Crew, into Miller Park.
