Bobby Parnell maybe the real reason Duaner Sanchez was let go, the 24 y/o right hander is listed anywhere from #5 to #9 depending on the prospect list you look at. Last year from Sept. 15th on, he made six major league appearances in which he allowed three runs ( ERA 5.40) in all. In four of those appearances ( 3 innings) he did not allow a hit or run and only gave up one walk. Against the Cubs on Sept. 22 he pitched two innings in which he allowed one run on two hits but just as the coaching staff had gained confidence in him, during the last weekend of the season against the Marlins he couldn't record an out while allowing two runs on a hit and a walk.While scouts have liked Parnell's skills until the major league level that hasn't equated to success. Last year in AAA he pitched 20.1 innings ( 4 starts/ 5 overall appearances) to a record of 2-2 and an ERA of 6.64. He also pitched in AA all as a starter, in 24 starts ( 127 innings) his record was 10-6 with a 4.30 ERA. I...
