Good riddance! Carl Pavano is finally done in Pinstripes. He made his last start today for the Yankees, and he made us remember how bad he really is. Sure, he might have been 4-1 before this start, but he hasn't pitched well. After today..he finishes the season with a 5.77 ERA which is terrible. Carl only went 3.2IP, allowing 8 hits,5ER, throwing two BB, and picked up one K. The Yankees fell behind in the bottom of the third inning 2-1, when the Jays hitters started to hit Pavano. From there on..it was pretty much all Jays. The Yankees only picked up 6 hits. Gardner was impressive tonight. He is making his case for next year. He went 3-4 today, with a double and two singles. He also scored a run. His batting average is now up to .223. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E NY Yankees 0 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 2 6 1 Toronto 0 0 2 3 2 0 1 0 X 8 13 0 NY Yankees AB R H RBI BB SO LOB AVG Gardner, CF 4 1 3 0 0 0 0 .223 Cano, 2B 4 0 1 1 0 0 2 .264 Abreu, DH 4 0 0 0 0 1 1 .296 Nady, RF 4 0 0 0 0 0 0 .303 Giambi, 1B 3 0 1 0 0 1 0 .251 a-Damon, PH 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 .305 Betemit, 3B 3 0 0 0 0 1 1 .260 Ransom, SS 2 1 0 0 1 0 1 .235 Cabrera, LF 3 0 1 0 0 1 0 .243 Cervelli, C 3 0 0 0 0 1 1 .000 Totals 31 2 6 1 1 5 6 NY Yankees IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA Pavano (L, 4-2) 3.2 8 5 5 2 1 1 5.77 Giese 0.2 3 2 2 0 1 0 3.53 Robertson 0.2 0 0 0 1 0 0 5.93 Ramirez 1.0 1 0 0 0 2 0 3.90 Sanchez, H 1.0 1 1 1 2 0 0 4.50 Rasner 1.0 0 0 0 0 0 0 5.34 Final Score: 8-2 Blue Jays
