Minnesota's Glen Perkins is perhaps the most active Twins player on Twitter. On Sunday, he used the social media platform to help out a loyal Twins fan. The Twitter interaction began Sunday morning when Alex Berg, a junior at Bemidji State University, tweeted at Perkins and said he had problems ordering tickets from an online ticketing site for Sunday's series finale against Texas at Target Field. In what Berg called "an act of desperation," he hoped his favorite Twins player could help him out. "Glen Perkins has always been a favorite of mine and seems like a great guy based off of his interactions with the fans and with the media on Twitter," Berg told FOXSportsNorth.com in an e-mail. "I didn't expect anything of it." Turns out that Perkins took note of Berg's tweet. Perkins replied by asking how many tickets Berg needed, to which Berg replied he needed four total for himself, his girlfriend, grandmother and cousin. Perkins delivered, tweeting to Berg that he left four tickets at will call for Berg and his family. Berg said the group would have been completely fine with upper deck seats and surely wasn't expecting the great seats Perkins got them. They sat behind home plate in section 113, row 24 and were able to take in Sunday's 5-0 Twins win thanks to Perkins' generosity. "It was a great feeling. It really made us realize how great of a person he is, and we certainly appreciated it," Berg said. "Next time I go to a game, I will be sure to get to the game extremely early so I can thank him in person." Through Sunday, Perkins has six saves and 13 strikeouts in nine games. He didn't pitch Sunday but still managed to add to his stats: one act of generosity and four tickets given to a fan.how many?
