The Phillies starting to heat up? After getting pounded by the Marlins 14-2 the Phillies have put it together on the West Coast. The Phillies beat San Francisco for the second straight night 6-2 getting the perfect combination of pitching and hitting (Ryan Howard and Chase Utley both homered in the win). Kyle Kendrick> who would have thought at the beginning of the season Kendrick would be the staff ace? Raising his record to 4-1 last night Kendrick put together another solid outing. No WALKS and two runs in 7 innings of work dropping his era to 2.45. Kendrick has continued on with last seasons terrific second half which started after Charlie Manuel called out the pitcher. Kendrick in the early going is putting together a MVP type of season. With Halladay going on the 15 day disabled list Kendrick’s performance(s) will become even more noticeable.Similar Posts: Phillies waste Lee’s effort, lose to Reds Phillies odds and ends: Lineup change,Aumont and Manuel Hit the panic button on Halladay?
