Philly Buster:
The injuries just keep piling up for the Phillies. Placido Polanco has been officially diagnosed with a bulging disc in his back, according to CSNPhilly.com.
Polanco wasn’t in tonight’s starting lineup for the fourth consecutive game. He hasn’t officially been placed on the DL, but a stint may be necessary for the 35-year old. Polanco has said he expects to play in the All-Star Game, which will take place next Tuesday night.
Polanco is hitting .274 on the season. Since May 1, he is batting just .216.
