Carlos Ruiz will grace the cover of the regional section of Sports Illustrated this week. It will be Ruiz’s third time, but first time in which he is the only athlete pictured.
The tagline under Ruiz says “Ace Receiver,” and a feature article is to discuss Ruiz’s work catching the best pitching staff in the major leagues.
Ruiz is hitting .255 with four home runs but a .360 on-base percentage and his tremendous defense make him one of the best catchers in the league.
