Philly Buster:
Placido Polanco left tonight’s Phillies-Braves game early with what was later ruled to be a bruised big toe. Polanco hit a ground rule double in the at-bat, but hurt his foot earlier in the at-bat by fouling a pitch off it.
Polanco was replaced on the base paths by Wilson Valdez. Polanco is listed as day to day as of now and most likely will not need to go on the disabled list.
Valdez took Polanco’s place at third base.
